Frequently Asked Questions

How will gifts to the campaign be recognized?
Personal recognition begins at the $1,000 level with special PALF library cards provided to the donor's family.
Permanent, public recognition begins at the $5,000 leadership level. At that level, donors' names will be listed on the PALF donor walls outside each of the three projects – Downtown 2011, Mitchell Park 2012, and Main 2013. Naming opportunities are available at the $100,000 level and above. Please click here to see the areas available for naming.

How will my name be listed on the donor wall?
In order to make the names easily readable, we have established guidelines in keeping with other non-profits in the area. Please click here to view our Public Recognition Guidelines. We will verify your preferred listing with you after you make a gift and before we create the donor walls.
How do company matching gifts work?
Please check with your employer to request a matching gift. We count that matching gift with your personal gift for donor recognition purposes. For example, if you give $2,500 and your company matches that at $2,500, we consider you a $5,000 leadership donor and will list you on our donor walls.
Can I make a pledge for a gift?
Yes. We can accept pledges for leadership and visionary gifts with payment(s) completed by December 31, 2012. Click here to download the pledge form.
Can I donate stock?
Yes. Please send us a message at donation@palf.org so that we can provide you with the routing number for our brokerage account. Your gift will be acknowledged using the average of the high and low prices of the day the stock is received. As always, please consult a tax professional for advice.
Can I make a gift anonymously?
Yes. If donating online, please email us at donation@palf.org after making your donation. If donating by mail, please check the appropriate box on the donation form. We will not list your name on the donor walls or our website.
Can I make a gift in honor or memory of someone?
Yes. Gifts at the $5,000 level and above will be recognized on the donor wall with the following wording: "In honor of Mary Smith" or "In memory of Jack Smith" or "The Smith family honors Mary Jones". See Public Recognition Guidelines.
